Bearing Testing - Napoleon Engineering Services' complete testing facility includes over 35 test rigs with more than 100 test locations. NES has the capability to custom design a test rig to your specific application as well as the resources to test any ball or roller bearing including four and five ball. Our testing program focuses on three main aspects of testing; life (dynamic), environmental, and impact/static testing. The test that is performed is determined by the failure mode of the bearing in the application. Source Qualification Inspection -Source Qualification Inspection (SQI) is a powerful program that allows the client to qualify new suppliers through a series of extensive inspections. The unbiased SQI program is used by companies, in a variety of industries to determine the design intentions, manufacturing capabilities, and quality of workmanship between different suppliers. FAA-PMA Re-Engineering Programs-One of the most comprehensive inspection programs offered at Napoleon Engineering Services (NES) is reverse engineering of Typed Certified aircraft bearings for FAA Certification. Companies that manufacture or sell bearings were not integrated into the aircraft at the time it was Type Certified must obtain their own PMA from the FAA.
